April 28 - May 7, 2026 - Pelion and Delphi

Greece102.png

A breathtaking experience awaits you in a remote peninsula at the foot of Mount Pelion. It is the place where the mythical Centaur Chiron, father of all healers, brought herbal healing to mankind. Following his footsteps and the ancient European herbal tradition, this course teaches hands-on plant knowledge handed down through the millennia. Taking the olive groves and native habitats as our classroom, we will befriend myrtle, spike lavender, citrus, olive, mastic and pine.

The Outdoors is the Classroom

Local elders will come in and teach about the traditional use of the plants. Be prepared for a total immersion into the world of plant healing!

Wisdom of the Earth

This class revives the tradition of the herbal apprenticeships of days gone by, in which the learning was one of direct transmission of experience from master to student. It is limited to a small number of people to preserve the intimate rapport and allow for individual coaching. We learn to understand healing as a changing flow of energetic manifestations. Most importantly, this course focuses on the spiritual dimension of healing, of achieving wholeness within the universe.

Set a few steps from Milina beach, our classroom is at lovely Spiti Persephone guesthouse. Rooms can hold between 1 and 3 people at affordable prices (from 18 to 40 Euros per night). We will help you find a room mate for the shared rooms. Please contact Clara for the booking of the room. The course provides a light welcome meal at the night of arrival and breakfast the next morning. After that, participants can organise their own breakfasts in the two course kitchens.

Email Clara at claarverheyen@hotmail.com to book your room.

Food and Lunch

Participants can make their own meals in the guesthouse kitchens. Lunch (veg / non-veg / vegan) can also be booked at an excellent nearby restaurant which provides a  course buffet with delicious healthy food and vegetarian or vegan choices. It costs about 12 Euros per person (we will know the exact price once the restaurant re-opens for the season) plus drinks. Milina has small supermarkets, bakeries, and the seaside is lined with restaurants offering a large variety of foods..

Arrival, Group Email and
Travel Arrangements

Participants should arrive in the afternoon of April 27. We provide a free welcome meal. We recommend for students to fly into Athens. Every participant is invited to a course email group, so participants can arrange to meet at the airport, rent cars and travel to the course location together. While there are some flights into Volos which is closer, please note that car rental prices in Volos are double to those in Athens. Participation is at the student’s own risk and we strongly recommend everyone to have their own travel insurance. The course ends in the late afternoon of May 7 in Delphi.

Participants must book their own room in Delphi. Attention, cheapest AirB&B rooms in Greece are often really bad quality, in others words not considered a standard that could be rented out in other countries. Check the photos well to see if the place is reasonably modern and clean.
